Pastoral Assistant: Vera Lumsden

Children and Family Worker: Karen Cumming

The Governing Bodies of the Church:

Kirk Session

The following groups in the Church have delegated responsibility and report to the Kirk Session:

Outreach: we seek to bring Jesus to our community so that all ages have opportunities to come to Him.

Worship & Discipleship: we seek to encourage everyone to worship God and grow spiritually through praise, prayer and following Jesus and learning of His Word of life.

Fellowship & Service: we seek to encourage a sense of belonging together as God’s family and share this with all ages in our community. We also seek to encourage and develop the use of God given time and talents to respond to the needs of our neighbours at home and abroad.

Resources: we seek to ensure we have the appropriate financial, physical and legal resources including appropriate church buildings to facilitate the aims of the church.

Pastoral Care: we aim to offer support, care and encouragement to all in our church and community, in Christ’s name.

David has been Minister of Banff and King Edward Parish Churches since 2012, having previously been Minister of Barlanark Greyfriars in Glasgow.

David is active in Banff Churches Together, Banff and Macduff Community Council and is Chaplain to our local schools. He is passionate about how Jesus, as the Way, Truth and Life, can offer life-bringing help and friendship to anyone seeking; he sees church as an important contributor to the life of the community. He is happy to meet with anyone wishing to explore their faith or in need.

Vera has been with us as Pastoral Assistant since October 2013, having previously served as a Reader providing pulpit supply in various churches throughout this area and beyond. She is also a qualified Counsellor, having spent a number of years counselling with Crossreach, as well as working privately. Vera's deep love for God and for people has led to her being passionate about seeing others respond to Jesus and discover for themselves God's power to change lives.
